·2 years agoTake that up with the supplier of that software. You do not send a 1099 for purchases of goods so you don't need a W-9 from any of your sellers.

·2 years agoYou're not employed by eBay. You're not using eBay as an independent contractor. You aren't freelancing here. I think you may be confused. eBay needs your SSN or you to furnish a W-9 to generate a 1099 tax form that they report to IRS.
