Why did ebay send me a w-9 tax form

Mentor3 years agoThat is a good question is you are not selling anything. This form is used to request tax payer ID info when a seller's info doesn't match the IRS info.
I would contact customer service and explain that you are not a seller and ask them to investigate why you were sent this request. I think I would do this through one of the social media sites, so that you have answers in writing.
