We purchased a vintage car on EBay. We saw all the photos and were in contact with the seller who agreed to pay for the transportation to my home state. When the automobile arrived it was nothing like he had described. He mentioned driving it himself and what great shape it was in. It arrived close to 30 days late and was in need of repairs immediately. We had to tow it to the repair shop. Four more trips to have different problems fixed and it still needs more, we wrote and posted negative feedback. We immediately heard from the seller and agreed to refund 5k. Then he asked that we re write our feedback, which we agreed to do if he made it right on his end. Now he has changed his mind and won’t refund what he agreed to. Is there anything I can do? He’s trying to pull on our heartstrings. Telling us about his sick grandson, strep throat etc..

Mentor6 months agoVehicle sales are a special kind of sale on eBay since it is a titled object. eBay itself does not provide any kind of money back guaranty with vehicles. Some vehicles may have protection from a separate Vehicle Protection Plan but there are specific rules that need to be followed before it becomes available. However, there are age limits that apply to the vehicle so I guess it would depend on exactly how old the vehicle is. The listing would have shown if the vehicle is covered by the VPP or not. What was the listing number of the vehicle?
