Violating Community standards
My daughter recently opened an account but never used it yet. Then she got a message about violating community standards and being permanently removed. Customer service wouldn't give her any explanation and couldn't seemed to grasp that she had never done anything yet--hadn't bought or sold anything-- This was obviously a hack or fraud, but she couldn't get anywhere with Ebay customer service, who says they can't disclose the reason. But when she finally got into her account for a moment, there had been "0" activity. Why wouldn't that be apparent t customer service. She couldn't seem to get through to anyone and dopant have any recourse. Has anyone else encountered this. She finally close the account and they said she couldn't reopen. She literally had never used the account, let alone made a permeant violation of standards.

Mentor10 months agoIf she accessed her account any where there is a current or previous account that was suspended, her account is considered linked and will be restricted or suspended. She should have not closed her account, but tried to find out who visited her or where she had been that had someone in violation. Regardless, without figuring out who it was to clear their account there would be little chance of getting reinstated.
Note, if she was suspend while in your household using your ISP, you may also be in jeopardy of this happening to you.
