vintage item Pan American Airways Stewardess outfit? How can I tell if outfit is a true Vintage?
I bought a Pan American Airways Stewardess outfit at an estate sale and the lady told me it was a original vintage 1967 issue she got when she was a little girl. The questions I have after having this for a while is I need to sale my item but afraid to list as the original deal when indeed it is not? So, the Tag in the jacket is Barbie by MATTEL. but has no C in front of the 'by Mattel' and is sewn across the top only and tag is rather big? Does that mean item is not original? The other issue i have is the Eames book on page 173 says outfit comes with a black belt. In my limited research I have not found that belt as an item. I even saw a NRFB of this item and it did not appear in the boxed version, and the shoes for my item does not have the word Japan on any of the two shoes. They have R1 and L2. So I pose these questions before I try to list the Pan American Outfit that I have?
