Very stressed returning an item when ebay won't accept item number or the title of it
So, I checked out as a guest but won't do this again in a hurry. Finally after trolling through emails I found the item number, date, tracking and title which is this:

Item number: 257356219408

Guest orders are not connected to your eBay account; for help with a guest order you must first sign out of your existing eBay account and then use the "order details" link in the email that you received from eBay regarding the guest order, or else right click on the link and choose to open the link in a private or incognito browser window.

I have the order details as in the item number from my email but I type it into the box and it won't accept the item number or the title of it when I start a return. So, I can't return it like this. Is there any other way you or anyone else knows of to get that returns box working? The seller is good with my returning but I can't talk to anyone to work this out.

Mentor4 months agoYou need to sign out of your eBay account and then use the link in the email. You cannot return the item from within your eBay account, since you did not use your account to make the purchase.
There is no other way to return an item you purchased as a guest, other than requesting a call back from customer service.
