Very Shady
I am filing this complaint against eBay Inc. for placing an unjustified and unexplained hold on my seller account after I fully paid all past-due fees. This hold blocks my ability to list products, make sales, or access my customer base, effectively shutting down my small business without warning, due process, or recourse.
Despite contacting eBay support multiple times, I have received no clear explanation, no time frame, and no next steps to restore account access. Their customer service process appears designed to deflect accountability, avoid direct answers, and trap users in a cycle of automated responses and policy citations without actual resolution.
I depend on eBay to operate a lawful small business. By freezing my seller access after collecting payment, eBay is acting in bad faith, demonstrating a complete disregard for its obligations to sellers who rely on the platform. Their actions appear unfair, predatory, and potentially deceptive, especially when repeated across multiple accounts and users, as seen in widespread online complaints.
I am requesting that:
eBay immediately review and remove the hold on my account,
Provide a clear and specific explanation for the restriction,
And disclose how sellers can appeal account actions affecting their ability to earn income.
If eBay believes I violated any policy, I expect transparency, evidence, and due process, not silence and access denial.
eBay’s conduct has:
Cut off my income stream without justification,
Withheld access to data and tools needed to operate my business,
Accepted payment for account fees while continuing to restrict access,
And refused to communicate any path to reinstatement.
This is not a technical glitch — this is systemic, deliberate, and harmful.
