vendor requests to alter reviews
A part intended to fit my car make, model and year did not. If it was an original OEM part as described, this is not the fault of the seller. I would have encountered the same problem with any other seller of the same part. So I sympathize when the seller asks me to change my neutral review to a positive one in exchange for a partial refund. However, though I gave the seller high marks for delivery speed and packaging, I can't say I was happy with my purchase. It would be unethical to change my review and thereby lure other buyers into the same unpleasant situation. So I told them I would send pictures as requested, that I did not want the partial refund, and that I would not be changing my review. I think it would be helpful if eBay would make a distinction in the review template between satisfaction with the product and satisfaction with the seller, but so far they aren't doing that. What would y'all do?

Mentor2 years agoThe easiest way is to go to your Purchase history, locate the item. You have 30 days from date of receipt. Click on RETURN THIS ITEM because it is Not as Described. You will need to click on MORE to see that option. The seller will need to provide a prepaid shipping label for its return. You print out the label, affix it to the box, and have the counter clerk scan the label. When tracking shows DELIVERED back to the seller, the seller needs to refund you within 2 days. If no refund, go back to the case and click Ask ebay to step in, to force the refund.
Once you are refunded in full, let the seller know you will accept a Feedback Revision Request in order to change the feedback you left.
