Veiled Threat ? Block buyer or report to ebay ?
Summary: pahe8965 is concerned about a message from a buyer claiming an item sold was incomplete and expressed feeling scammed. The buyer noted the missing part after contacting the manufacturer. pahe8965 is unsure whether to report the message as a threat or block the buyer, although they would have offered a refund if approached differently. lady_madonna suggests there is no threat in the message and advises further caution when reselling items bought from sales to avoid future issues.
This transaction was so long ago that the item does not even show. Should I report it as a threat or just block the buyer -
If he had asked nicely, I would have been way more inclined to offer a refund as it was something bought at an estate or garage sale and never any intention of scamming anyone ?
Hi there,I just thought you should know that after months of trying to get this moka pot to work, it does not work and after contacting the manufacturer... it is because there is a missing part inside that is part of the exhaust hole.
I got a smaller one and sure enough it is in that one. I am not sure if you were aware that the item you sold was not usable but I thought it was important to tell you as it left me feeling a bit scammed,
and my mother is an ebay seller so I know the community takes their sales very seriously. Thanks,Colby

Mentor1 month agoI don't see even a hint of a threat. Not veiled or otherwise. In fact, I don't see anything not "nice" about it, quite the opposite, they allowed for the fact that you might not have known & wanted to educate you. I would have refunded them, but it's too late for that now if the transaction does not appear anymore. There's nothing to report & like @lady_madonna said, you should probably test items like that out prior to selling.

Mentor1 month agoI see no threat in that message.
Since the transaction was long ago, you can just move on.
Be aware that items bought at estate sales/garage sales should be examined carefully before reselling them on Ebay so you do not face any complaints of "item not as described".
