Vehicle purchase
I have a question about someone selling a vehicle in another state. They want me to give them my name and number so someone from eBay can contact me to handle the transaction. they claim to be in the military and are deploying shortly and they have already paid eBay to have the vehicle shipped to my location in another state and I have 5 days to drive this vehicle around to see if I like it before they get paid. Is this actually something that eBay does? Or is this some elaborate scam?

Ebay does NOT ship vehicles, Ebay does not allow a 5 day inspection period, Ebay has nothing to do with ads found on other sites. No one except the scammer will call you.
Ebay warns of this scam here: https://pages.ebay.com/giftcard/faqs.html and here:
