Vehicle listing VIN issue
Hello… I’m trying to list vehicle for sale that was originally sold in Spain… I was issued a valid title in the state of New Jersey. However eBay’s is not allowing me to list the item because the VIN is not in its VIN database. I understand there is a way to bypass this feature but I don’t know how. Please help. Thank you!

Mentor1 month ago@bumblebee_arts Since your vehicle was manufactured outside of the US you will need to follow these steps to list it>
In the listing form, select the vehicle’s year from the Year drop-down menu.
- Enter 17 zeros in the VIN field. Seventeen 0
- In the item description, you must enter the following information or the listing may be removed:
-- The vehicle’s actual VIN
-- The reason you listed your vehicle using all of the same number in your VIN
- AND include a clear photo of the VIN plate in the auction.
Policy: https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/prohibited-restricted-items/vehicle-parts-accessories-policy?id=4...
“If the VIN isn't recognized by our systems, the actual VIN MUST be included in the item description with an explanation as to why it wasn't accepted, such as:
- The vehicle was manufactured for a model year before 1980
- The vehicle was manufactured outside of North America
- The vehicle wasn't intended for street-legal use”
