VAT Charges in UK on items from USA
I've seen on-line that, " VAT is charged", "except on gifts worth less than 39 GB Pounds coming from outside UK."
I recently purchased on eBay a Shirt as gift for friend in UK, total for shirt and shipping was 28.48 GB Pounds, but was still charged $ 7.02 / 5.70GBP. VAT. This VAT charge was put on automatically by seller.
Should I care?
