Variant option for listings disabled or non functional
Has anyone else noticed that you can no longer add your own attributes and then listed options on a listing?

I was able to add a new option to several-years-old variation listing this morning.
Let me know if this helps.
I had to scroll down a bit to find the + Create Your Own
Steps
1) Revise listing
2) Click Edit in the Variation area of the main listing page
3) Click Edit next to Attributes and options you've selected
4) To add another Option to your Attribute
Click "Create Your Own" at the bottom of your current list of options. Add your new item (catalog name)
5) Update Variations
6) Update Rows Automatically - Yes
--- Make changes --
7) Scroll to the bottom and "Save and Close"
8 )Scroll to the bottom of the listing and "Revise It"
Let me know if this works for you.
There is a limit of 250 Variations but neither you or I are near that limit.

OP9 months agoYeah, you don't understand. The option to add new values to the existing variation is no longer there.

Mentor9 months agoOk, got it, and yes you should be able to add new values unless you reached the limit. I'll try doing so on my other selling ID and see if I have the same problem.
@comics-scifi-collectiblesDo you have any insight into OP's problem?

Mentor9 months agoI have seen a couple of other reports of variations not working. It's starting to sound like an emerging tech issue.

Mentor9 months agoI checked my variation listings on my other ID and the +add function is still there and appears to be working normally.
So apparently OP's +add button has gone missing or just not visible for some reason. I suppose OP should try a different browser to rule out any conflict there.
@shipscript
May have the help on this.

Mentor9 months ago@eastlaneave do you have any suggestions?
I do know that the attribute name can not be the same as what eBay calls the attribute
So if eBay has the attribute as shirt you have to say short sleeve shirt or something of that nature. I don't use variations so not the best person to ask about this.

OP9 months agoNo, I have a listing for Victoria's Secret catalogs that I would periodically go in and add new variations to based on the cover model. I have had the listing for quite sometime, but now when I go in to update it the ability to new options to any attribute is no longer there

Mentor9 months agoNo sure if I understand, but you can not add new types of variations to an existing listing, you can only add new values to existing variations types. To add more types of variations you have to create a new listing.

·9 months agoFrom my prior testing, if al isting is not started as a variation, the feature sa no longer available to a revision. However, I have previously posted magazines and have added or rearranged issues with no problem.

Mentor9 months agoAre you talking about the reserved words you can not use? If so, the restriction has been around for a while and of course a bit of a pain.
