How do I find the value of an item i want to sell?

Value is an individual concept . . . something worth a $100 to me, might not be worth beans to my neighbor. You can find how much same/similar items sold for on eBay, though. On a desktop browser, run a search for the item of interest. When the search results page comes up, scroll down, watching the left hand side, until you reach the Show Only section where you can checkmark the filter Sold items. If you use the app, I don't know how to do it.
For more info, you can checkmark the filter Completed items right next to the Sold. Then, all the completed listings will filter in. The prices of the items that sold will be shown in green, the prices of the unsold in black.
