USPS tracking updates have stopped
it looks like an item I shipped to a buyer who has not arrived in the tracking has stalled. I filed a complaint for item not received. How can I be held responsible for something? That is the United States post office problem.

First, resolve the issue with your buyer. Do this before eBay steps in.
Once you refund the buyer, file an insurance claim with the Post Office, Use a screenshot of the order details for the claim. (If you used ground advantage or priority mail)
If you used eBay shipping for the label, you may be eligible for a refund from eBay. This is a new policy. If you ship with an eBay label and the package ends up showing up down the line, eBay will automatically refund you for that package. This will automatically happen if the package is eligible and if you refund the buyer without needing eBay to step in and help.
I understand that you think that the Post Office is responsible for this and I want to agree with you about that, however, on eBay, you are the responsible party. You are responsible for getting the package safely to the buyer. It is frustrating with the Post Office because in so many ways, as sellers, we have to depend on them to help us do our job and they don't seem to be as dependable as we want them to be.
