USPS tracking reads delivered but I never received the item.
Hello
USPS did not deliver my package but their system shows they did. I reported the issue to eBay and to USPS. eBay did not do anything to help. USPS is requesting the sellers name and address and a copy of the shipping slip one gets when handing the package to them in order to file a claim.
The seller does not want to provide this information, actually has not even replied at all and eBay has not helped at all either.
What can I do?

Mentor3 years ago@sergo.navas the carrier's scanner has a built in GPS so it will show where the pkg was delivered.
You need to go in person to the post office to find out if the carrier misdelivered the package or if the seller created a scam by sending an empty box or envelope to a local business or other address in your zip code to show the delivery scan.
as long as u have the tracking number, the post office can retrieve the info.

Ebay cannot help if it shows the package was delivered.
Provide the tracking number to USPS so they can investigate where the carrier left the package.
Could the item have been stolen after delivery?

I'm not blaming eBay or the seller. USPS is already looking into the matter which is reaching the point of a claim.
Either the sender or the recipient can file the claim. If I do (because the seller won't even answer to my requests), I would need the sender's name and address and proof of the service (a copy of the original shipping label or receipt). All of which I don't have. All I have is a nickname on eBay. One is never given a copy of the shipping receipt or label nor the name and address of the seller after a transaction.
Now, the item could have gotten lost/stolen prior, during or after the delivery. The shipping status reads "left with an individual". So it could have been given just anybody for the matter. It could also be that they have a flaw in their logistic processes and that the package got lost.
In your experience, is there a way to get eBay to provide this information or get the seller to file a claim (given they don't seem to be willing to share their info)?

Locate the transaction and click Order Details. You will see the seller's name/address and the tracking number. Print that out for the post office.

I already tried that. The information is hidden. It only shows the nickname, the tracking, transaction and item numbers.

Ebay will not provide that information, and the seller's shipping address is not shown in the buyer's Order Details.
If tracking shows "left with individual" then the item was NOT lost in transit. Unfortunately there is not much more you can do, sorry.
Have you checked with neighbors in case the package was misdelivered?
