USPS tracking not showing up till day after pick-up
Several times packages that were picked up by USPS have not shown up in tracking till later the following day! This is affecting my “One day to ship†numbers. I have tried leaving notes for the carrier, asking them to scan when taken, but often they are ignored. Any suggestions, short of taking every package to the post office? Thanks in advance!

Have a chat with your mail carrier. Get to know him and explain the importance of scanning. If you're not providing a scan form, that might be why you're not getting scans.
You can print one scan form for all the packages you ship that day and the carrier only has to scan one piece of paper. You'll need to use bulk shipping however to print a scan form.
