USPS reusing Tracking Numbers????
Summary: willowsbow shared their concerns about two buyers claiming they didn't receive their items, despite delayed notifications and positive feedback from one buyer. They are frustrated as the addresses showed discrepancies in delivery, raising suspicions of dishonest intentions from the buyers. rfmtm advised against using eBay's FedEx or UPS due to potential disputes and surcharges, recommending the use of a PirateShip account for discounts and assistance with claims. comics-scifi-collectibles added that using UPS with PirateShip is beneficial for handling oversized items and avoiding frequent surcharges common with FedEx.
I have had 2 buyers tell me they did not recieve their item. Both waited 2 months to tell me they didn't recieve it. The first one I delve into and found that it apparently had been delivered to an address different than the ebay label I purchased had on it. The second one was just today...again at least 2 months after shipping. The thing is this one had already left positive feedback on or around August 3rd. I replied to her message that was asking me to look into why it had not been delivered to the correct address. I reminded her that she had left feedback that she had recieved the item and was happy. She said oh....she wasn't at home right now and would check when she gets home. I think she had just noticed that if you go back and check tracking it will say the item is late and is enroute and the address will be wrong. I think she just saw the opportunity to try to get her money back and keep the item. I am so tired of the BS people pull. I am just a woman who ended up on perm disability a little over a year ago and am living on a limited income. I have already lost just about everything and am selling off my excess of "stuff" because I had to move in with my adult children. Should I switch to Fed ex? Is this happening to others? I don't get it.

Mentor1 week agoAfter two months, buyers can not claim a package is missing through ebay or open an ebay dispute.
No, do not use ebay FedEx or ebay UPS, for these two carrier either use your own account or for great discount use UPS with a free PirateShip account.

OP1 week agoThank you for your response. Why shouldn't I use ebay FedEx or UPS?

Mentor1 week ago@willowsbow You are not the shipper of record with eBay Fed Ex or UPS and if you need to try dispute surcharges ( which Fed Ex adds OFTEN) eBay has to do it for you.
Personally if I have an item that is too large or heavy to ship via USPS then I use UPS and buy the label from Pirateship. Pirateship helps with insurance claims and surcharge disputes. UPS does have a list of valid surcharges on their website too. UPS does not add surcharges as often as Fed Ex does.
