USPS returned item.
I shipped out a package on 7/2 to a customer and USPS showed it delivered on 7/7. Then on 7/19, I found the package in my mailbox returned thru USPS marked with a hand written note "RTS Refused" and the "return to sender" label. What do I do on the eBay website to help resolve this. Do I reach out to the customer? eBay "help" has been useless. The shipping label has already been used so I can't reuse this label, right?

Mentor1 year ago@jala2475 Refusal of a package voids the eBay Money Back Guarantee. I would refund the item price only minus the outbound shipping and add the buyer to my blocked list. While the eBay Money Back Guarantee is voided the buyer could still do a chargeback with their funding source.
Go to the sold item and select send refund from the drop down menu next to the item. Then on the next page select OTHER for the reason. Next refund the ITEM PRICE ONLY. Do not give a full refund with the shipping costs. eBay does refund sellers fees on the amount that you refund the buyer. Add the buyer to your blocked buyer list>

I do NOT recommend canceling as problem with buyers address or you will be out of pocket for the outbound shipping costs.

OP1 year agoWhat if I had offered free shipping? Do I still only offer the refund less my shipping costs?

Mentor1 year ago@jala2475 On normal buyers remorse returns you would have to refund the full amount if you had Free Shipping on the listing.
For this situation since you are not required by eBay to refund anything it's a courtesy that they are getting even a partial refund. There's a box where you can add a note for the reason for the partial refund if you wish.
