USPS "Return to sender"
An item I purchased shipped via USPS, made it to "out to deliver" in my town and USPS messed up and began the process of returning to sender. Somehow they marked it as "person no longer lives here" even though I have gotten multiple USPS packages before and after this. So clearly USPS is at fault.
The package made it back to the origin post office and has been stuck their for a week now and I messaged the user concerning the issue and I have not gotten a response for a week.
USPS won't help, saying it is between myself and the shipper but the shipper won't respond. What can I do?
The option to cancel/return the order or note it as "not delivered" is not available to me, I presume because it is stuck at the senders post office.

Mentor2 years ago@jesswell-8 You can file a not received refund request and the seller will need to refund you.
Then the seller can file a postal insurance case for lost mail.
Here's how to file a refund request for not received>
Look for the last estimated delivery date in your purchase history. You can file a refund request when the item is at least a day late.
You have 30 days from the last estimated delivery date to file a refund request on eBay.
Select your item on this page to start a refund request:

4 business days after you file the refund request ask eBay to step in and help if the seller has not refunded you.

If it is more than 30 days past the last estimated delivery date then you can file a refund request on PayPal up to 180 days from the date of purchase. OR if you didn't use PayPal at checkout contact your bank or credit card to report that you didn't receive the item.
