USPS rates for Large envelopes up to 13 ounces?

Hi, Why doesn't eBay offer the ability to ship large envelopes, up to 13 ounces in weight? I would like to sell items like photos, brochures and magazines that I could ship through USPS for about $2.00 but eBay calls them packages and charges $5.50 and up. If I go ahead and do that, the lady at the post office will flag it and tell me I paid too much for shipping. Am I missing something? How should I go about shipping something like this. Offer a refund to the customer after the fact. Help!

Mentor1 month agoYou can still offer the large envelope price for your listing, but you will not be ablew to use ebay shipping to print the label. ebay only prints labels that include TRACKING, and the large envelope does not include tracking. You will have to either use postage stamps or pay at the post office. Without tracking, if the buyer files an Item Not Received case, you will end up refunding because you have no proof of delivery.
