Question

Effective May 1st the USPS increased the minimum shipping rate on Ground Advantage with Tracking to $8.75. Regardless of eBay not updating their rate tables, ALL items shipped via Ground Advantage via the USPS. will cost $8.75.

Hi @moonlight_mercantile

The USPS rate increase went into effect on 4/26.

You can review the new rates here:

https://pe.usps.com/text/dmm300/notice123.htm

Look at the commercial rates for the cost of labels purchased through eBay.

I don't know where you saw a cost of $8.75 for everything shipped via Ground Advantage, but that is incorrect.

Would you please post this info so we can all see it?

I went to usps.com and just looked up a 2 ounce package (not uncommon for my items) to be mailed about 120 miles from me, and the USPS Ground Advantage retail rate was $8.05. USPS's Click-N-Ship rate is shown as $5.58. Experience tells me eBay's reduced rate would be close to that $5.58.

@moonlight_mercantile May I ask where this was posted? I just checked the eBay Shipping calculator and a 4oz package going from the Midwest to Alaska is $5.97.
