USPS Priority Boxes
I recently taped 2 USPS boxes together due to fragile items going to the same buyer. I purchased 1 shipping label. The buyer received the one box, but not the other. Has anyone had this happen to them where the post office cuts the boxes apart? Thanks.

·3 years agoI could only fathom that happening if:
1) the boxes are marked flat rate and it violates some rule
2) the tape peeled or jammed in the conveyors.
3) personnel thought they were accidentally stuck together and separated them.
I regularly receive priority boxes kludged together to make one larger package, but never any that were tidily stacked. Whenever I send stacked boxes, they get fiberglass strapping tape around them to keep them from coming apart on the conveyors.
It sounds like you now have a lost package without a label that will end up in the USPS lost items center.
