Mentor3 years agoOnly items with first class package service need to be changed, but don’t do anything yet - the shipping services still show first class and have not been changed to ground advantage for 1LB and under.
We have asked for a tool to identify the items that need to be edited, but do not have a solution yet.

OP3 years agoWhen I ship out my packages tomorrow do I use first class shipping or Parcel Select? When I'm listing do I use first class or Parcel select?

Mentor3 years agoWhen you ship, it will be ground advantage. If the item was listed with first class, you will see a message that ground advantage replaces first class - you will see the same price on both lines on the label purchase page. If you select first class, the label will be ground advantage.
When you list, if the item is over 16oz, it is ground advantage. Under 16oz will also be ground advantage, once they get the system switched over. Right now, the service selection still says first class, so to get the pricing right I would choose first class. If you select ground advantage, it will be correct eventually, but the buyer would be overcharged if it sells right away. It was supposed to switch over today, but I just checked again and still see first class. This does mean you’ll have more items to change when they do get the service updated.

OP3 years agoThank you for answering my questions I appreciate it. Now I have 2 more questions. If you use parcel select/ground advantage over 16 oz then what's the difference between that and priority mail? I'm concern about it when it comes to changing to parcel select will there be a bulk edit for it?

Mentor3 years agoGround advantage is the same as the old parcel select compared to priority. Ground vs air. Generally 2-5 days vs 1-3 days delivery time.
You don't have to edit anything listed with parcel select - they simply changed the name to parcel select/ground advantage. I assume after people adjust to the new name, they will drop the parcel select from the name.
It is only the items listed with fist class package service that need to be changed.
