USPS Packages Being Held In Dayton, OH location And Their Not Even Scanning In.
I have conducted my own in depth investigation on why packages being sent from the Dayton, OH location have been received from the seller but are being , "Held" or packages, "Received" but, "Pending" or not being scanned-in. Because if it's happening to me it's happening to everyone across the board. I have spoken to the PostMasters in both locations and apparently, Louis DeJoy (PostMaster General appointed by Former President Trump) is holding these packages in tractor trailers until the package volume has increased warranting the increased cost of transporting these packages to their postal locations. I will no longer be do business with sellers who subscribe to only to USPS. Even it's free it's not for me! My best experience with UPS and FedEx has been excellent.
Ebay please take note and offer other options!

USPS is revamping their distribution network and delays may occur in the locations being reworked until the kinks are resolved. It's not happening everywhere, though it sounds like perhaps there are problems with your local hub. I ship packages daily and only one package has been delayed due to these changes so far this year (and my hub is one of those affected).
I received packages daily from USPS, UPS, and FedEx weekly, and I find that USPS is the most reliable by far. In fact, UPS and FedEx turn packages over to USPS for final delivery in many many cases.
eBay does offer shipping through all threes major carriers. It's up to the seller to use the one(s) that makes sense to them (not to eBay).
