usps not scanning my labels = seller performance drops

I ship an item and prng the labelUSPS does not scan it for a day or 3 then get dinged for handling and shipping times despite positive feedbackHow can I remedy thisAlso , how do I get my insurance on lost items???

@myerstechhammocklab I recommend standing in line at the post office or at least use the self service kiosk in the lobby if you have one.

Only other option is to have a longer handling time.

Keep in mind that packages do get lost at the post office. If that happens before it's scanned in then you can't file an insurance claim and will be required to refund the buyer out of your pocket.

As my colleaugues have said, it's imperative to get your own Acceptance Scan when you drop the package off. The scan you can get from the Kiosk counts for eBay, so you don't have to stand in line, just use the APC kiosk to get one. I would never allow a pkg to enter the system without an Acceptance scan. A lot of times the first automated scan doesn't happen until the pkg hits the sort center & by then, it's often past midnight.
