USPS lost, then found, then delivered to buyer after refund given.

Question

USPS lost a package (Shipping disappears on ground advantage) so customer asks for refund, there’s a time frame to resolve so I refund customer. I file a missing mail claim with USPS to have the item returned to ME after they find it. A week later, tracking updates. Out for delivery to the customer. Any experience with how to handle this as a seller?

If you purchased the shipping label through the eBay shipping center, shipped within your stated handling time and refunded because the buyer opened an "Item not received" case then once the tracking shows the item as delivered eBay will refund what you paid out. This may or may not be automatic so you may have to contact customer service about the refund.
