USPS Lost Package - will eBay help?
Hi all! New buyer here, and I'm curious about a fairly unique situation. I bought a unique 2005 motor bike motor from a great seller and they shipped it promptly via USPS with tracking information. And USPS has lost the package, with no tracking available for more than 12 days 😞
This is a one-of-a-kind motor, and the seller probably doesn't have another to replace. I have opened multiple service orders with USPS but they close them with no resolution. Will eBay be able to help find something that USPS has "lost"?
The seller no longer has the motor but does have our money; we have no motor and have spent the money (and a lot of time reaching out to USPS). We really want the motor, but the next best situation is to recover the nearly $800 we spent. How will eBay help?
Thanks, all - this is totally an issue with USPS, not the seller. eBayers have always been so great to work with.

·1 year agoIf it’s been less than 30 days since the last estimated date of delivery, you need to open an Item Not Received case with eBay. The seller will be required to refund you. Any problems with USPS are the seller’s problems to resolve, not yours. Buyers have the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
If it’s been more than 30 days, open a chargeback with your payment method.
