USPS is going to charge customers for tracking services May 2026
The next time you enter a tracking number in www.usps.com - click below the estimated delivery date on the USPS USPS Tracking Plus... link, and read what they are doing. They are going to charge customers after May 2026, however last week, no other tracking scans were entered into the system.
If I can't verify an eBay customer has received their package, they can claim they did not, and I would have to refund their purchase price. Am I seeing this - all wrong??

Mentor9 months agoHi @echoscream
In addition to what @evry1nositswindy has provided the standard window for tracking information is 120 days for tracked but non-signature items. 120 days is to me sufficient for normal shipping. If you think you need more coverage for the tracking history of your packages you can purchase additional coverage as described. ...

Mentor9 months agoIt shows me that is USPS Tracking Plus. It offers extended access to tracking and it is optional.
USPS Tracking Plus®
Your item is eligible for USPS Tracking Plus. This feature allows you to buy extended access to your tracking history and receive a statement via email upon request. Without this feature, your regular tracking history is only available on this site until May 9, 2026. To extend your access to this tracking history, select the length of time you would like and confirm your selection. You can only purchase extended history once, so all orders are final and are not eligible for a refund.
Note: For multiple tracking numbers, you can save and continue adding USPS Tracking Plus selections to your cart until you are ready to complete your purchase.
