USPS failed to update the pkg to delivered after pick up by buyer

Question

I shipped a package worth $1000 to a buyer. They had it held at the Post office for 9 days and then picked it up at a Annex which manages multiple carriers. They signed for the package and indicated that everything was good. However, USPS never updated the package to show deivered. Now my money is being held = how will I ever get paid for this item?

@rswarh Does it still show as not delivered on the USPS site? If it does then I recommend filing a missing package claim so that the tracking will update.

Since the item is over $750 it is really important to have the tracking proof of delivery and the signature on delivery on record.

Even with the tracking to prove delivery eBay usually holds funds for up to 31 days when the sale is 1K or more.

If you can't get the tracking to update on the eBay site your funds will still be released, it's going to take the full 31 days.
