USPS failed to deliver, their mistake
Tracking for an item I sold stated "no such number" when attempting delivery by USPS. I contacted the buyer to let them know the issue. They reached out to USPS and found out that it wasn't delivered due to a mistake by the mail carrier. Now the item is being returned to me, and I issued a refund to the buyer. The delivery failed due to mistake by the USPS. How do I go about getting compensated for the mistake the USPS made? Also, is it possible to reship the item to the buyer without having to pay for shipping again since USPS made an error?
