USPS denied my damage claim

Question

USPS denied my damage claim even though I included pictures, descriptions, shipping and address information. If my ground advantage includes up to $100, why can't I get reimbursed?

We can only guess at the reason the claim was denied, but insufficient packaging might be why the claim was denied. If you didn't use proper protection, USPS would not consider themselves at fault for the damage.

When packaging items, be sure to package in a way that it is almost impossible to incur damage. If you can't toss the package down a flight of concrete stairs without cringing, the item needs to be packaged better.
