USPS demanded buyer to pay shipping cost

I sold an item, purchased shipping label from eBay and shipped item. Buyer contact me and reported that USPS demanded her to pay shipping charge so she refused delivery. I am know that I paid the correct postage as I have weighed item before shipment. Suggestion ?

You will have to wait till the item gets back and check what happen. If the post office made a mistake take it to the counter to have it reshipped for free.
