USPS claims it left package on porch
I am the buyer. Item is vintage so i can't easily find another one. USPS said it left package on our porch. We have a camera in the front of the house that can see the street and people going up or down the front stairs. For that day no postal truck stopped at the house and no postal worker went up the stairs. The package would not fit in the mail slot. Camera also did not show porch pirate. USPS insist that the worker left the package and that their "GPS" shows truck in front of the house. I didn't know mail trucks have GPS system and so what truck was in front of the house. USPS has no accountability. I don't want to damage the seller's rating what more can I do. We have lodged a inquiry/ complaint with USPS. Thanks

Mentor2 years agoHello mcham2233,
If the Seller shipped to the address listed at checkout, and tracking shows it was delivered to that address, there is really nothing more the Seller can do. USPS does have GPS that will show exactly where the package was left. The Seller would not be able to file an insurance claim if the post office shows it delivered.
eBay has a 30-day Money Back Guarantee for Buyers who do not receive their packages. If you were to open an Item Not Received case though, eBay would have the Seller enter the tracking into the case that shows it delivered and eBay would close the case in the Seller's favor. None of this is the Seller's fault and should not affect the feedback that is left for them.
At this point, I would contact the postmaster to track down where your package was left. I'm sorry this happened. Best of luck to you.
