Using another seller's photos
Another seller is using one of my listing photos for their gallery image on an identical product they are selling without my permission. I contacted the seller through eBay and asked them to remove the photo. They did not remove it, so I reported it to eBay and this is what I heard back:
"Thanks again for reporting the listing(s) you found. We wanted to let you know that we closed your report for the below referenced listing(s). These listings have not been removed. This determination was made using automation or artificial intelligence.
If you reported content that isn’t listed below, we’ll send a separate email once we’ve made a decision.

Here are the listings you reported that are included in this decision:
Item: 366059711206 NWT Womens Sunglasses True Religion TRM1799 Black matte/Rainbow mirror Oversized"
Great eBay seller IP protection and eBay policies enforcement! By the way, I did not ask them to take the seller's listing down, just to remove my photo. Maybe they need to start using some human intelligence on issues like this.

Mentor8 months agoOnce you list your item the listing becomes property of eBay and the user agreement allows other users to use the information shown in your listing including photos. I have had several of my items photos being used on other sellers listings. Just remember that when a seller uses photos that are not their own they open themselves up to "Item not as described" cases since they did not take photos of their own items.
