I bought a Lego set and I went to contact the owner of the name and the user no longer exists. the product still has not shipped after a week and a half. I definitely got scammed. How do I get a refund?

If the seller no longer is a registered user, it is because ebay removed them. The purchase should be in your Purchase History and if you click on the Order Details button it should tell you the last estimated delivery date for the item. The day after that date you can file an Item Not Received (INR) dispute by going back to your purchase and clicking on the More Actions button. When that page opens you may see Return item, but not an INR button. Clicking on Return item will open a list of reasons for the return, one of which is "I haven't received it" select that and follow through to file the dispute. The seller will have 3 days to respond, but they will not be able to. So on the 4th day, go to your My ebay page, click on Returns to open your dispute and in it will be an Ask eBay to Step In, button. click on it and within a couple of days a full refund will be authorized.

Depending on how you paid for the item debit/credit card, the refund may not show up right away.

Your Bank may place a hold on the transfer for a few days if you paid with a debit card. It may not appear on your card provider's statement for up to 30 days, but if you call the customer service number on the back of the card several days later, the rep may be able to tell you if a refund is being processed.
