Use common sense ebay.
I changed my address when I moved a month ago. I ordered something this week and it was sent to my old address. I dig around and find yes, they have my new address. But wait, there's another section where you need to go to change your mailing address and your return address. You don't think a pop-up reminder when you change an address would be in order? Or boxes to check - Mailing, Physical, Return. Seriously, what's the point of not thinking it through from the customer's view? Wanted to trick me? Congratulations. Now go get my package.

Mentor2 years agoHi @lgev
It's the responsibility of the buyer to review and edit if necessary the address displayed at checkout before completing payment. The seller is required to ship to that address.
When you change your address on eBay, there are several address in your account settings that you may need to correct (including the ones you mentioned).

Mentor2 years ago@lgev I am sure that's frustrating! It would be helpful if eBay made it clearer to update all addresses, however since a member can have different shipping addresses from selling it's really not something that eBay is going to point out. Do you have a package forwarding notice with your post office, I recommend doing that right away.
A tip for updating the shipping addresses>>>
Other members have reported that the address correction is not "sticking" unless they do these steps>
ADD a new address and THEN delete the old one in account settings.

( only do this for the Shipping and return addresses, not your registration address)

OP2 years agoYep. How about this - Change Your Address - check all that apply:
1. Physical
2. Mailing
3. Return
4. Other
While you're here, do you wish to delete your old address?
It's called being user friendly.
Thanks for the reply.
