Urgent Support Needed – Import Charges
Dear eBay Community Members,
I hope you are doing well. I am reaching out regarding my recent purchase (12/18/2025) for a computer RAM module from a seller in Canada.
on January 8, I received an email from UPS stating that I must prepay $576.69 USD in import fees before delivery. This amount is extremely concerning, as the item value is only $288 (excluding shipping and sales tax), and computer RAM (HS Code 8473.30) is normally duty‑free when imported into the United States.
Given the nature of the item and its classification, these charges appear to be incorrect or misapplied.
I would greatly appreciate your help in advising me on the appropriate next steps to resolve this issue.
