Urgent Assistance Required Regarding Undelivered Item
Dear eBay Support Team,
I recently received a notification stating that the item I sold has not yet been delivered to the buyer. The system is requiring me to choose one of the following options:
- Update tracking details for the buyer
- Refund the buyer
- Send the buyer a message
However, I do not wish to proceed with any of these options at this point, as it seems the package may have been lost by the shipping carrier (USPS).
When I tracked the item, the latest update showed:
Sat, Apr 12 12:00am – In Transit to Next Facility, Arriving Late
There have been no further updates since that status.
I would like to know:
- What should I do in this case?
- Who is responsible for the lost item?
- Will I be compensated for the value of the item?
I appreciate your guidance and assistance in resolving this issue fairly.
Best regards

Mentor1 year agoYou should update the tracking to the buyer. Let the buyer know you will file a Lost Package and refund the seller before it approaches 30 days past the last estimated delivery date. After you fully refund the package, go to the carrier's website and click the link to report a lost package if you sent the package by any method except media mail (If you shipped media mail, did you pay extra for insurance?)
