UPS/USPS charging account after overweighing and oversizing our package
All my products weigh less than 2 lbs, and I use boxes from ULINE that are 12x12x12. The carrier is coming back and charging me more. This is happening more often now. Who can I get to look into this and issue refunds.

Mentor1 year agoIf the box reads 12 x 12 x 12 it is quite possible that once you put items in it and tape it up, the actual measurements may be a fraction more on one or more sides.
Just because a box has those measurements, it may not be the actual size of the box.
If the USPS scanners pick it up as larger than stated, you will be overcharged.
Measure the box after the item is in the box and it is taped up and ready to go and put those measurements in as the size. You have to round up 12 1/2 in becomes 13 in. For USPS.
For UPS Round to the nearest whole number when taking your measurements. For example, 1 to 1.49 will be considered 1, and 1.5 to 1.99 will be considered 2.

OP1 year agoThe contents are actually smaller than the packing box, and I've never had any issues. This has happened to me four times now. When I drop it off at the UPS store, I have the weigh and measure, and everything checks out. Also, I've seen that they charge me for 12LBS when infact the package weighs less than 3 lbs.
