UPS Overage fees
I need help with a UPS overage fee applied to my ebay sellers account for a package I sent to a customer. The package has arrived and all is well. However I recently received a UPS underpaid postage fee to my account. I currently have an open investigation with UPS on 8 other packages sent on this same day, through another selling site. All of these packages were personally taken to UPS, weighed by them and checked in by them. All their check in weights match mine. But somewhere down the line, all of these packages gained a considerable amount of weight. Therefore creating overage fees for me. On the other selling site, I can see a breakdown of "billed" vs "declared" shipping weights and dimensions. I cannot find that information on my sellers tab/transactions page. Is there a way to retrieve this information?

eBay doesn't show the package dimensions and weight after you buy the label. The only way to see the information is by viewing the listing, provided you enter the information when creating the listing. You can go to sold listing and select sell similar to see the listing.
Make sure that you are measuring your packages carefully. The printed dimensions are the INSIDE of the box. Dimensional weight surcharges are the most common reason for upcharging. No envelopes, only boxes.
Only eBay customer service can file the dispute since they are the UPS customer. I recommend contacting CS on social media to ask them to do this. Keep in mind that UPS does sometimes add incorrect surcharges but there are CORRECT surcharges that you can read about on the UPS website.
Personally if I have an item that is too large or heavy to ship via USPS then I use UPS and buy the label from PIrateship.com. Pirateship helps with insurance claims and surcharge disputes. UPS does have a list of valid surcharges on their website too. UPS does not add surcharges as often as Fed Ex does.
Social media is the best way to contact customer service for this issue.
Here's how to contact eBay general customer service. ( I feel that it's ok to use this option since it does affect your bottom line.)
Click this link> https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/getting-paid/getting-paid-items-youve-sold?id=4814
Then Type PAYOUT In the chat bot box on the lower right.
Then AGENT after the bot responds. You might have to repeat those steps.
Or you can also contact customer service by sending a PRIVATE message on social media. Customer service verifies your identity before responding.
