UPS Ground Advantage Item Never Arrived

Question

I shipped an item from Boston to Dallas using UPS Ground Advantage form a label I created on eBay. The item somehow got lost on the last USPS leg. USPS shows that they never received the item and I have been on the phone with UPS and USPS for 2 days and they do not seem to be able to help me at all. I also called the local UPS Store I used an dthey said they cannot help me either. The item I shipped was expensive and I want to avoid issuing a refund. Is there any way eBay can help with this?

Once you have shipped the item eBay really cannot help much. That is a hybrid shipping method using two different carriers. So both are going to blame the other for any problems.

You said the item was expensive. That particular shipping service only has $50 of insurance included in the shipping cost. I hope you added additional insurance when purchasing the label.

There seems to be a problem with UPS recently. I ordered something over on The River, and the package was lost while UPS had it.

Where did the tracking stop on your item? Thatâ€™s going to determine whatâ€™s you should be doing in this situation.
