UPS claim
UPS lost a package that I shipped on eBay's UPS account. UPS will not discuss it at all even though I filed the claim. It says the claim was issued, and action required but will not let me take any actions at all. eBay support tells me they are not responsible for the claim since UPS lost the package.
I cannot upload documents to UPS since the claim is not on my UPS account and all support contacts at eBay are telling me to go to UPS. Its around $200 so worth fighting for.
I was originally told by eBay support to wait 30 days and there would be a "claim" option on the sales page, but we have now passed that with no option appearing.

Visit the UPS claims portal
Log in to your existing account - opens in new window or tab, or create an account - opens in new window or tab. It's important the email address associated with your UPS account is the same as the email address associated with your eBay account.
Enter required information, refer to the UPS Claims on UPS.com Seller guide - opens in new window or tab for workflows for lost or damaged packages.
Be sure to select and complete ‘Add Alternate Payment Recipient’ using your name/company name and address to ensure the claim payout is sent directly to you.
Ebay's UPS Account Number - Needed for Refund (6 digits right after the 1Z of the tracking number)

OP2 years agoI appreciate the help, but the claim is already filed. There was never an option for alternate payment recipient, possibly because I was logged in with my business acoount.

Mentor2 years agoYou have to be logged into UPS with the same email address you used on ebay.
In the future, don't use ebay UPS, use your own UPS account or a free PirateShip account and avoid this type of problem.
