UPS and UPS Store Tracking Updated Issues
Is anyone else having issues when items are picked up at your business/house, or being dropped off at a UPS Store for the tracking details on the UPS Website showing the item being scanned in and in the hands of UPS? When I drop my items off at a UPS Store I always get the items scanned in with them and they produce me a receipt for the items I have dropped off. Saying that they never show up on UPS.com website as they are in possession of the package. The first scan always shows up when the item is at the local distribution center in my area that handles the packages which is one state over from us.
Well If you are having the same issue as I am here is the issue behind it. UPS is telling their drivers NOT to scan in the product from when they pick up the items. I was informed they do not want to pay the drivers for picking up the items. I confronted both my local driver and the owner of the UPS Store that I drop all my packages off to when they are not picked up from us. So if your performance is being effected by this (Tracking uploaded on time but not carrier scan) then here is why. I want to know if this is just a Midwest issue or is it happening nation wide.
I can not believe as sellers on eBay and the prices we pay UPS to ship and handle our product this is what it has come down to. Until the item is at our local distribution center and is ready to be put on the next UPS truck the item will never show scanned in. I know I am going to hear from others to use FED EX or DHL or the post office but that is now what I am after. What I am after is simply is this happening to anyone else that sells on eBay?

·3 years agoI have not heard of this. Seems like the acceptance scan should be enough. Anyway, try asking on the Shipping board: Shipping - The eBay Community
