"Upcoming charge to your bank account"
I'm an occasional seller of personal items on eBay, and for the first time ever, I received the above message. I checked my Payments tab and read, "Your total funds are below $0.00 due to outstanding selling costs."
The charge to my bank account is for an $11.71 shipping fee on a recent sale. But the buyer paid $89.00 for the item, plus the $11.71 shipping, which should have been deducted from my seller earnings. So why would I receive this notice?
If anyone can help me understand what's going on, I'd appreciate it.

eBay doesn’t hold funds from a sale to pay for the shipping - it sounds like the payout happened before the shipping label was purchased. Usually the label is purchased before the payout, so it is deducted from available funds. The unusual timing may be due to the holidays and then the weekend weekend.

Mentor9 months agoYou pay to ship the item to the buyer.
The shipping charges the buyer pays through Ebay will be part of your Ebay payout from the sale when your payout is released to you.

OP9 months agoBut the payout already appeared in my bank account. This notice came after the funds were released.
And I'm confused as to why I've never received this notice before.
