Unwanted Notifications from Sellers
I'm a seller, and I obviously use other listings to establish pricing. I rarely ad those items to my watchlist. It seems like recently, eBay has made it possible for sellers to send offers to anyone who views their listings, rather than only people who have added their listings to a watchlist. I'm sure some sellers like the marketing opportunity, but the constant notifications drive me kind of crazy. I wish eBay would stop this practice, but short of that, is there a way to opt out of these types of notifications? I don't want to cancel all notifications, just the ones from people whose listings I've viewed.

Mentor1 year ago@twopanthers The item only has to be viewed for a seller to be able to send an offer, not watched or in a cart.
I do wish that eBay would make a way to really turn this off. You can only stop the email notifications NOT the eBay messages for the offers. You just have to ignore the offer or decline it. I personally decline the offers.
If you wish to stop emails for offers to buyers then you can turn it off in account settings>

OP1 year agoThanks for the quick response, even if it's not the one I want! Out of curiosity, do you know if there's any way to send a complaint or feature request directly to the Mother Ship. Or do we just have to hope that if enough people complain in forums, maybe they'll change their policy.
