Untraceable item delivered hacked account

Question

I received an order from a seller that I do not recognize and is not part of my history. I’m worried that my account has been hacked and that someone is using this item to test. I really don’t know what to do as I cannot seem to find the return address seller to contact them

I suspect that it's more likely to be what is called a brushing scam or a bad seller sending an item to a nearby address to make the system THINK an item was delivered to another buyer.

There's not really anything eBay can do about these two types of scams from the random "gift" receivers report as there's not anything to identify the sender to eBay.

The other possibility is it's a GUEST account purchase.

Is it possible that you or someone in your household made the purchase as a guest?

If you made the purchase using a guest account it will not be in your purchase history.

Log out of your eBay account and request the guest account details from this page:

https://www.ebay.com/help/buying/returns-refunds/returning-item/returning-items-bought-guest?id=4065&st=

Then you can start a refund request, track your order, or contact the seller, from the guest account email. Do not log in to your regular eBay account.

If you need help starting a refund request here's how to contact customer service.

eBay agents are working from home so you have to request a call back or live chat.

2. Request a call back

If you are located outside of US or Canada then you will need to use the Chat option or Social Media

3. Or you can also contact customer service by sending a private message on social media. You leave a PRIVATE message and an eBay employee will get back to you as soon as possible.
