Unscrupulous buyer?
What is the best way to handle this situation. Received an offer from a buyer which requested 20% off of a newly listed item (within 1 hour after listing). I looked at their feedback and another seller had said they returned a duplicate damaged item and not the item she had sent them. She reported them to EBay. I decided to decline the offer and block them. This morning the item was bought full price by the same buyer who had opened another account to circumvent the block. Calls and chats were contradictory. One said to cancel order with the reason buyer requests cancellation. They said EBay would back me up and remove any defects or negative reviews. When I called EBay to ask how do I do cancellation with buyer requests cancellation - do I have to wait until buyer approves ( which I doubted) and what to I do if they refuse to approve that, they then said no you have to cancel with the reason problem with shipping address and they were unsure if I would receive a defect and if negative review could be removed. So what is the best thing to do? eBay did confirm that both accounts were the same person. That person also changed the id on their first account this morning. The buyer also emailed me this afternoon asking that I make sure the styrofoam is sealed so that it will arrive in one piece. This also made me suspicious that they already had one which had arrived broken before and were planning to switch them. Maybe I am just being paranoid. Not sure what to do. If I cancel I am sure they will give me a neg review but if I go ahead and ship they may scam me. Any advice?

Mentor2 years ago@lsim8519 go to the purchased item's drop down menu and click on send refund, the reason would be 'problem with address'

OP2 years agoBut they will problem leave me negative feedback which I think is unfair. I already got screwed over by another buyer who gave me unfair negative feedback and my percentage was tanked by 3%. I’m worried I will get no sales with 95% or less feedback but I don’t want to deal with this buyer who clearly violated EBay policy and opened another account to circumvent my block.
