Unresponsive Seller & NAD item I’m stuck with
I purchased a small ceramic clock for asking price from an experienced seller in Aug 2025. The USPS delivery was delayed by about 15 days, during which I messaged seller asking them to locate & advise. They replied telling me to contact USPS, period.
I replied stating it seemed like they should do that. Seller ignored. Item finally arrived. It did not work! Clock didn’t run, though I placed new batteries in it 3 times. It was listed as WORKING. I messaged seller, stating clock did not work, despite listing stating it did. Seller replied: only suggestion they had was that I file a NAD with Ebay. I replied, stating they should be offering possible remedies. Seller did not respond again.
What recourse, If any, do I have? Recognizing that ebay’s usual timelines have expired. This seller’s negligence has triggered my strong drive to right a wrong. It’s not just the $ I lost. If I can prevent other responsible buyers from having the same experience I did, I am motivated to try.
Please advise.

If an item arrives but is not as described, then the buyer can file a "not as described" return within thirty days.

If the seller does not provide for tracked return shipping, refund the buyer directly or refund once tracking shows the item has been returned to the seller, after three business days, the buyer can ask eBay to step in.
If more than thirty days has passed since receiving the item, eBay can no longer help. You may still have recourse through your payment method. Contact your card issuer for details.
