Unreliable Seller Rating
It seems buyers have been wise to eBay's nonsensical seller feedback policies. Despite an obviously fraudulent sale - as I see it - and shipment that never arrived, eBay refused to post legitimate, negative feedback on the seller. They explained, unconvincingly, that eBay would retain the negative feedback, but the feedback would not be posted for potential buyers to see. A refund for the purchase was made by eBay because in spite of the seller agreement to rebate, he did not process the rebate. I have zero faith in any seller ratings I view on eBay and hench will not plan to sell or buy in the future.

Mentor5 months agoThe fact that some seller feedback can be removed does not mean that feedback is not useful for determining how experienced a seller is.
Getting feedback removed won't make an inexperienced seller look more experienced, for instance.
The longer a seller has been selling, the more reliable the seller is -- and the more reliable the seller's feedback rating is as well.
